Final Elf Hours … the clock is ticking!

Bears' Greeting
There’s nothing like a deadline to really get my engine running! We’re down to mere hours left before Christmas Eve festivities will begin. It was as late as yesterday morning that I made a last-minute run to the local craft store for some necessary supplies. Here’s what’s on tap for today:
* print off greeting cards made with my own photos, a gift for a special someone who also reads this blog
* finish up two children’s quilts for nephews (photos upon completion)
* roll out, bake & decorate the sugar cookie dough and get those neighborly packages assembled (photos upon completion of these, too!)
* final stocking stuffing shopping
Did I mention that I really respond to deadlines?! Fortunately, most of my shoveling duties are on hold for the moment. There hasn’t been any snow in the last 24 hours and the driveway and paths are all clear for now.

So I can stay focused indoors. Here’s a look at what I put together for my writing group this year:
writers' group gifts
Filled with a special stash of green-and-white tea bags and bars of dark, organic chocolate (our group’s signature snack!) the tea mugs were purchased from a friend’s business. I may be the only member of our group who even likes green tea, but my fellow writers tolerate my healthy tendencies, even the Brit who always asks for ‘black’.

Happy holiday elfing today to you, too!

  1. I want that pillow on the blue chair! Where did you get it?

  2. Love your bears and that sweater! Your writing groups’ treats are wonderful. Of course Stash tea is my favorite bagged brand and green tea (decaf) is my favorite. Wow. I hope you get all that stuff done. It sounds like too much for me to get all done.

  3. Deadlines have the opposite effect on me … I panic and get nothing done! Everything is looking lovely in your home … Merry Christmas to you and your family, Lisa! ~ Lynda xo

  4. Oh my, that blue chair looks divinely cozy! What a beautiful spot to read and rest.

    Merry Christmas to you and yours!!
