My Dream Cottage

dream cottage

Welcome to my dream cottage. It’s near the water and even has a bit of a waterview. It is a traditional Victorian seaside summer cottage. I love how it looks much as it probably did when it was first built in 1876. I found it online after returning home from the Writing Retreat. And in the spirit of believing in dreams and doing what I can to make mine a reality, I actually called the realtor, made an appointment, and in spite of Saturday’s stormy weather, hubby and I went to see it.

I can easily imagine the hours of writing, knitting, visiting and tea sipping that could be passed on the front porch. And doesn’t the bedroom balcony above just beg for early morning contemplation and writing?

Can you see any similarities?
This is one of my drawings and the kind of buildings I’ve been sketching forever.

The dream cottage photo will be the central feature in my next vision board. Stay tuned!

  5. No purchases for me, so far. I’m still hoping, too, Lorraine. But like Kelli, it’s on my vision board and in my ‘hope chest’.
