My friend Kathleen recently took up watercolor painting. I offered up any of my photos for her to use for rendering practice. Imagine my surprise and delight when she presented me with her own version of my red mary jane’s! To see my original photo, click here. Personally, I am wow’d by her newly developed skills. Inspiring!

Hi Lisa:
Your friend’s watercolor is lovely, send her an attagirl for me please. I wrote you back in Feb. and was so embarrased as I had nothing posted anywhere to show you. Now I do. I got off my duff and got stuff done. I phoned you to chat for a minute and told the gentleman who answered that I would leave a msg. via your blog.
I am on Ravelry, as furtherofftrack, if you are also on Ravelry. Please, take a look at my stuff on Flickr, again as furtherofftrack. If that search is cantankerous, search for the tag, pie shrine. That will bring up my photostream. I would love to make a blog, would you be willing to advise? I take direction well.

What a beautiful watercolor painting! Is it for sale? (I was gong to put a winky thing here, but I’m not sure I’m kidding. I really like the painting. And I love your maryjanes. No, I’ll not ask if they’re for sale.
