Winter’s Reward – Back in the Garden

The number of years have nothing to do with it — I still get excited every time a precious perennial survives the snow and cold of a New England winter and comes alive again in the spring. This bleeding heart is the most recent garden showboat. It’s so lovely, I’ve added another on the other side of the garden, building up the all-pink theme there. The subtle undulations of a monochromatic garden hold special appeal.

I love my bleeding heart, too. I am a little sad over the corpses of the perennials that didn’t make it, but you have to accept this in this climate. Nice photo.

Hi Lisa! I haven’t forgotten you, my dear! I have been consumed by real life and trying to get little home projects out of the way. I may blog about some of them soon. Anyway, I love your bleeding hearts! What a great photo. Is there nothing you are not good at? :) Don’t mind me, I’m just jealous! I’d love to see more of your monochromatic garden – I am fascinated by them. It looks like we are finally getting some good consistent (hot) weather.
